Activity First Aid - QA Level 2 (RQF)
Saturday 9th – Sunday 10th March 2019

This course deals with issues involved with care of casualties in a remote setting. It includes primary and secondary surveys of a casualty, first aid equipment and how you may adapt and improvise your own equipment to support your first aid kit. A lot more emphasis is placed on incident management.  We assume minimal outdoor equipment is available. There are plenty of opportunities to practice first aid.

This 2 day (16 hour) course is recognised by the National Governing Bodies and AALS such as the Mountain Leader Training, Countryside Leader AwardBritish Canoe UnioBritish Cycling, Forrest Schools, British Association of Snowsport Instructors etc. Be sure to check your NGB requirements.

Countryside Leader Award
2019 - 2020 Dates

The Countryside Leader Award is a recognised qualification that trains and qualifies teachers, youth workers and other members of the community to to lead walking groups in lowland countryside, impart the knowledge and skills needed to undertake a day walk, have responsibility for the care of others while leading a day walk and plan and lead overnight camps.

This qualification is ideal from leaders wanting to run Bronze and possibly silver expeditions in lowland countryside.
